I'm trying to install an ATI Radeon 9200 on this computer which is pretty old and the main problem is that it won't work but here are some things that happen with it.

1. After I installed it and turn it on it's fine until it goes to load up the desktop and then the screen goes black with like a few little pixels of weird colors all the way up at the top of the screen.

2. When I have the video card in and plug the monitor into the motherboard it comes up fine but whenever I open up a program it goes off to the side where I can't see it or get to it.

3. The only thing I'm trying to do is make it so I can run World of Warcraft on here with high enough performance to actually be able to play atleast remotely smooth.

Just a few questions, by "monitor in the motherboard" do you mean an onboard video out or into the Radeon. If you have onboard video have you tried disabling it in your BIOS? Can you test the video card in another computer by chance?
