i havn't pc gamed in ages, but i think its time for my geforce4 mmx 440 to go

lay some video cards down for me around 50/60 bucks

maybe some light gaming will happen

i need a 8x AGP card

just gonna copy my specs that i posted in another thread:
" current specs:
1.6 p4
geforce4 mx 440 (its gadda get changed, but i havn't pc gamed in ages, so i've let it go)
768 pc2700 ram (a 512 stick and a 256 stick)
40 gb hdd
8 gb hdd
cheapo ECS refurbished mobo i found on new egg for like 26 bucks"

i want somethin that will maybe handle half life 2?

gonna bump the ram to a gig, but i dunno how much of a difference that will make

If you've got an AGP slot you could put a second hand Radeon 9800Pro in there..that card eats games like HL2 for breakfast!

The best AGP card you can get, is the 7800GS.

But I would recommend an ATI card, probably an x1600xt

Budget..10 fold better then your current card, and it's got ATI image quality.
