Hi Crayon,

We are a little shorthanded these days. As far as testing out the PSU theory, get ahold of a more powerful one, install it, and see if it makes a difference.

We've been going over this with you for a very long time now, but I am still not sure I understand the problem you need help with; if you are getting the results from the 4200 use that one. If you want the 5200 to work faster, try not overclocking it, and see what it is running at by itself, your computer may not be happy with the overclocking.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

What exactly is teh PSU? I'm not familiar with the slang used for computer parts.

Umm with regards to the switching of the two cards, i was told that the 5200 was better than the 4200 and because Im going to upgrade my 5200 to something better I want to know the reasons why I am not getting 100% from it, since the 4200 is supposedly not as good as the 5200, that means there could be somethign wrong with my system that I am unaware of and if i were to go and then upgrade my card, I may not get 100% from the new card which will be a waste of money. I dont want to spend 200$ and only get like a 20% increase in performance which is why I am trying to weed out why the 5200 isnt working as well or better than the 4200 since on the Geforce line its supposed to be a higher model.

when the 5200 is over clocked it still doesnt work as well as the 4200 and when it is set on factory presets it still is not quite up to par. If my last post wasn't clear enough, usually do to my rambling, I want to upgrade the 5200 but I am reluctant because I am afraid that the performance of the new video card may be hindered by what's causing my 5200 to run slower than the 4200. In the end, I don't want to spend 200 dollars with the hopes of doubling my performance and only get a 30% increase. Thats definitely not a steal, especially when you are the best card on the market for the lowest price , the 6600 gt

Sorry-- Power Supply Unit= PSU

It is really the heart of your PC... you can have all the best hardware in your machine-- if your PSU isn't up to the task nothing will work right-- it is also the most overlooked piece of hardware.

One of the best makers has a power-supply selector on their website-- you plug in a list of your hardware-- it will tell you how many watts you need to run it all.
