Default A liitle Video Card History

Back in the days that Pentium 3s were yet to be invented PCI was Only choice

Then came AGP 2x, then AGP 4x, with XP came AGP 8x

Today the HOT SETUP is PCI - EXPRESS

If you could cram a PCI - EXPRESS into a pci slot........

IF it Booted Up.................... it would BLOW UP

Lol yes, I belive theres a reason for the word "Express". It has a much faster transfer rate and such, but dont worry Im a n00b on this too. When I get my new PC I will have to use PCI Express, so it will be my first time handling one.

PCI-E is a different pin formation
there is also PCI-X which is server based

i know a couple of people who have tried to put pci-x in pci-e slots...or normal pci slots....they don't work

if it's a particular type of card, it needs to be in that particular type of slot.
