Default nVidia or ATI for gaming?

What is everyones opinion on ATI vs. nVidia on gaming issues? Im trying to decide on one of these video cards and im wondering which one everyone thinks would be best for gaming. Are there and liquid cooled nVidia video cards? And if not......are there any better nVidia video cards than this one?

I don't know much about the technical stuff with graphics, although I bought a new graphics card not that long ago. Mine was only an ATI Radeon 9550, but jeez! The one's your looking at are over $570! I don't think you would be able to tell the difference, you're games would be going pretty darn fast if you ask me.

Thats very close between those , im not sure wich will be better.

But the Saphire has better reviews , and is obviously alot quieter.

Id go for the nVidia, at the moment the XFX 7900GTX superclocked is the best card available, if you check out the detailed specifications, you can see that the core clock speed is higher, and the XFX has 24 pipelines, where the sapphire only has 16. Also the nVidia has better game compabilities, many games are especially designed for nVidia cards, so these will run better, but there are no games designed for ATI, so allround you will be able to play more games with a nVidia card.

SO Id go for the XFX 7900GTX.
