Default Nvidia GeForce 6800 brands?

Hello everyone. I recently bought two PC games (Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion and Hitman Blood Money). Both of these titles recommened Nividia GeForce 6800 for the video card. I bought about a year or two ago a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB AGP video card for my PC. Playing these games with this card doesnt run it smooth on the "high" preformance. Looks like my card is getting old.

Thing is, I always bought ATI card in the past, and this GeForce 6800 has many different brands associated with it. How do I know which brand is the best? I know its similar to RAM (most ram sticks are the same basically) but since I never had experience in buying these brand name GeForce cards, anyone can point me in the right direction? BTW - I do not have PCI-E, only PCI and AGP. Thanks in advance!

Hey Un Columbiano,

I've used Nvidia GeForce for the last six years, and been happy with everyone that I have ever bought. Actually bought them for all of the PCs in the house. (kind of a geekazoid household)

Do you have a price range in mind?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Well, judging from what those two games recommened, a GeForce 6800 would be best (The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion and Hitman Blood Money). I would prefer the cheapest possible, but my max would be around 150-200$. My mobo is a ABIT VT7 (was hot back in the day when I first bought it) so I do not have a PCI-E slot, only AGP and PCI so it will have to be a AGP slot type.

I am also thinking in getting either a 256MB or 512MB, judging from the requiremets of those two games though, I probably just need 256MB to run the game smoothly on highest graphics settings. Please let me know which you think is best as I havent gone video card shopping in years.
