Default Graphicz/Monitor problem

Hi, my friend is having some problems with his computer.

He bought a new graphic card and installed it "properly"
He told me that windows does detect his graphic card and he installed the drivers properly.

after everything when he uses his graphic card, his screen is just black

what could be the problem?

i'm thinking its either his monitor or his mobo

He has an Emachine T2385 and his graphic card is a GeForce MX 4000

He will bring over his pc tommorow. I will try to run through the whole installation process again.

But the problem he stated is pretty weird. so.....

Default Bios

Hi Itszztom,
Try checking in the BIOS that the display is set to PCI/AGP as is might still be set to onbard.

It could be that the graphics settings set is out of range (monitor not supporting the requirements). So you can try set the settings(resolution, frame rate) to available range that is supported by your monitor

Also make sure you uninstall the old driver for the old card before installing the new card/driver.
