Unhappy Diagonal lines on TV screen using S-Video TV-Out

Hey,

Finally I received an S-Video to RCA cable today. Connected it to my computer, then to my TV, works fine. There is one problem, however; I am getting grey, light, diagonal lines going through the tv which is some what distracting.

Anyone know how to get rid of them? I've tried moving the cables around from other electrical power points, but no such luck. Any help would be great. The graphics card is a minimal one- just wanted to use it for tv out: GeForce FX 5200

Thanks in advance, Regards,

James

Hi Jack, sounds like the resolution/refresh rate isn't set as it should be. Have you tried lowering them?

Yes, i have tried fiddling around with the settings, but as I apply them and the tv and monitor flicker to apply the new settings, the monitor is the only thing which seems to be affected by it...anyone know the exact steps to adjust what is necessary for the TV?

Hello jack,

While most video cards have the option for tv hook up, it should be advised that the resolution on a tv will be poor. what size tv are you using? the larger the TV the lowert the quality of picture you'll have.
