Hi,
Recently i had a Geforce 6600 put into my pc. Now it was fine and i was happy with it. Until recently. I used to have a 5700.
After installing COD 2 last night and putting the settings on high and AA x2 i went onto new game. The game took a little longer to load.
When it came on the graphics did not look correct. The faces wern't as good as they should be. The overall feel was weird.
So i decided to play on Trackmania sunrise today. All settings high AA x6.
I jump into a race and notice the road textures looked slightly poor.
After one race had loaded up a blank screen with a white line appeared. I was thinking what now. I pressed Esc to reveal horrible textures !


Whats causing these weird textures?

I have Direct X 9.0c and latest Nvidia drivers.

Please help

So the new 6600 was working fine and then suddenly started to do this? Is this wierdness happening on anything other than games? Have you checked all of your resolution settings? Have you checked your Device Manager to see if anything is causing a conflict? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Vid card?

Well im not sure if it was fine or not. The only games i was playing on were Counter strike source and Battlefield 2 which still work fine.
My resolution settings are fine 1200 X 1024
What specifically should i look at in device manager?
And yes i have uninstalled / reinstalled

By the way it seems to be only happening on certain tracks. I will try again

Did it work fine with your older drivers? Somtimes newer drivers make some games do strange things.

As for the white line, it could be an artifact which would indicate a heat issue. Do you have it overclocked?

Nope it's not overclocked and i checked the card for overheating but it seemed fine
