Default Dual Monitors & TV out?

Hello,
I may be asking a lot here but I figured I would try. I have a dual monitor set up right now, and don't want to give that up. The graphics card only has 2 monitor slots. Now I would like to set it up for TV out so I can watch movies from my computer on my TV. Can I just get a second graphics card for that? Any suggestions?

Here is the situation. I have a computer in one room with the 2 monitors. I am greedy and want to surf the net on the TV in the other room. The TV and the computer are backed up to eachother on the same wall. I already have them connected for the stereo.

This is my first post so be gently  THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!!

Hi Yetti,

Welcome to PCHF. We have an amazing team of hardware and networking techs on this site, if it is possible, we can help you set it up.

I was curious as to your wireless capabilites. Is your PC set up?

I believe that you can get a separate video card with TV in/out connections, but let's put it to the Hardware Gurus and see what their take is.

Keep an eye out for their posts.

Welcome to PC Help Forum the Yetti!
We are always gentle to our users

I have no experience with TV-Out, but I think it's possible to buy a PCI-card with a TV-Out to connect it.
Someone will get back to you on this soon.

Bluefish

Well I have a USB wireless card which I use to connect to my router.
I was thinking of just getting a cheap PCI TV out card and just trying it. I was conserned with the dual monitors and then the 1 TV. Reason being with the dual, if I have a program on the secondary monitor will it show up on the TV, or will only what is on the Primary monitor show up on the TV?

Thanks for your help!

As I want to note that I'm not sure about, I think the TV will show you the same as the primary monitor. Anyway, perhaps the drivers are so made that you're able to use it e.g. as third monitor, or that you're able to choose whether to show the first or second monitor.

Well it is worth $40 to try it out either way. I will be sure to update the thread once I find out.
I was looking at the video card for this and not sure what I would need. I assume an out port that will accept the yellow cable for video? b/c the TV does not have S-Video. Any suggestions?
