if you had 200 - 300 dollars to spend what would be the best pci express graphics card to buy.
i want to get some ideas of cards to look into.

depending on who you like! :-D Iwould go for ati x700 or x800 for the nividia 6800gt or 6600gt these are all good cards.

Welcome to PCHF. There are some really good threads about graphic cards in the forums.

We get this question alot. While we have some amazing hardware guys on staff, I am not one of them unfortunately, and if you are patient, spend a little time reading in the Graphics forum under Hardware, I'm sure one of them will be online soon to give you specific advice tailored to your system.

as long it is not made by Abit i would say it is good because i have lots of trouble with their products.

Get a X800, pro or XT they kick ***. Doom 3 and Half life two in full with no lagg what so ever. Can't wait till Call of duty 2 comes out, it looks stunning. :-)
