Default [FIXED] Graphics Card cooler problem

Hi everyone. Well I thought yesterday, why dont I clean my pc up a bit, so I open it and blow the dust out. I also take the grafics card out of the slot and blow the dust from the cooler and put it in again. After that it started making a wierd sound as if it had trouble spinning. Strange thing is this only happens sometimes. And only if I restart. So if I get it to run properly and dont shut my pc down, it works perfectly. If I shut it down and start it up afterwards though, it has a big chance of making this sound(not only at startup, but the whole while). Its as if it has a switch, sound or not, and a random(seem to me) generator at startup to see if it gives me hell :P
Well if you understand what I just said :P help me out plz if you have any ideas thanks

How old is the card? Maybe the fan is getting old. Then it happends that they start making abit of a rattling noise sometimes and maybe because you blow the dust out of it iit has a little more room to move and start rattling abit.

It isnt a real prob , but you could replace the fan of the card if its replaceble. There is always a change that it quits completly though.

:-D I had this EXACT problem happen to me about 4 months ago. Thought I was so clever getting the dust out of the PC and the fan.
Then it started making this horrific noise everytime it rebooted. Which most of the time would last for hours.

What has happened is that your fan is unseated just a little bit, but enough to be really annoying. All you have to do, is open up your case again, and make sure that the fan is seated solidly, that way it won't vibrate.

The other way, which by the way I do not recommend, is to smack your computer every time it start buzzing ?. Usually makes it stop, but could cause other things to come loose.

I'd definitely go with the first option.

Let us know if that solves the noise,

Hm it might be that it does move a bit. There is this glue bitween fan and the card, which doesnt hold really much(or is it designed this way?) and the fan moves a bit around if u press it since its only installed into the card via two holes. Hm I thought there might be some dust under the fan, since I could have blown it into some deeper part of the fan, but I lack the screwdrivers to unscrew it. Anyway, since its not a gpu threatening problem, I dont care really much :P Thanks

As a side note, after a month of my grafics card doing this sound:
Im playing Warcraft 3 on my pc. Suddenly my motherboards says 5 times something I dont understand through the speakers, then the screen goes blue with lines and the room starts smellin burnt chip. I pull the plug open the case and voila my card is ultrahot and stinks. thing is the fan stopped, the gpu melted or whatever.
Good thing I had 3 years guarantee...
