hi Hardlock, sorry for the lack of response in regards to this question.

Basically at the time you asked this question - SLI was the better of the 2, purely because nVidia had 3DFX's technology work from their Voodoo2 SLI (different meaning) but same principle.

Nowadays - it's all down to personal prefence, as it is with almost everything in the computer.

I'd personally stay away from both SLI and Crossfire (XFire) purely because you will spend upto $2000 on the latest and greatest - only to have it beaten by a SINGLE card with the next model that comes out - it's just not really relivant....not until they refine the technology more.

I went from 7800GT SLI to a single 7900GT and the performance was amazingly difference...
