Default [Answered] Laptop can not find Nvidia GeForceFX 5600 Graphics Card
When I try to install drivers it says the hardware is not there to update drivers. I have tried from the nvidia official website.

When I go into system information nothing shows under display components.
It doesnt detect it under display in control panel either.

Operating System: Win XP Pro
Processor: IP4 3.06Ghz
RAM: 512MB
Video Card: NVidia GeForce FX 5600

What else do you need?

Have you made sure the card is seated correctly? And is the fan spinnig?

And have you already installed the motherboard drivers and did you un-install the old drivers first?
And also do you have any yellow question marks or red crosses in youre device manager?

No to first, will probably open it up soon to make sure, and yes fan spins.

Hmm nope, havent installed them, not sure which they are (I lost a disk with basic drivers on them, which doesnt help)

Ah yes, for:

1) SM Bus Controller
2) Video Contoller (VGA Compatible) - I guess this is it

Do you know the brand and model of youre motherboard? Or the model of youre labtop?

Laptop: Gericom Hummer FX 5600
Motherboard: Dont know, any way to find out?
