Could you try the following, right click on the Video controller and click properties, then go to update driver. Browse to the directory where you download the nvidia drivers to.

Normally the nvidia drivers come in one file, if you run the file it normally unzips to a directory, normally C:\NVIDIA so you can browse to that location.

Then click OK and see whether it installs your card.

You can go to the following site and try to download these drivers, if yours don't work:
http://download.gericom.com/NOTEBOOK/ - Not 100% sure which belongs to your notebook but try the VGA drivers under HummerForce.

or

ForceWare 56.63

If none of this works then click uninstall on the Video controller and reboot your notebook. When windows starts it should autodetect it and try to install.

Nope, if I try to install the hardware it cant find the software, even if I show it where it is. If I try to install the software it cant find the relevant hardware. Catch 22.

Disk you get a drivers CD with this notebook?

Could you boot into safe mode and remove anything to do with Video cards, also check your add/remove programs for any video drivers that may be installed, and remove them.

Then reboot the machine and windows should autodetect new hardware, if you have an internet connection on the notebook then tell it to search the web for drivers.

I will keep looking for other drivers.

How do I make it search for webdrivers?

Okay, well I found some drivers on the gericom.com website, so it now recognises it as what it is:
nVidia GeForce FX Go5600

However, if I try to install the nvidia drivers it still says "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit"

And these are outdated/not the best as when I scroll down in webbrowsers its laggy becuase the graphic drivers are outdated.
