Well im buying a new one really and i dont no how to tell what kind of free slots i have avaible in the back on my computer, just wondering if u could tell me how to tell the difference between the two sorts.

Go to "Handy Tools" in my signature and run Belarc Advisor and post your motherboard specs on the site, we can then lookup your specific motherboard and let you know what slots you have.

Another way of finding out is to open up your PC case and have a look at your motherboard, see picture below:

looked in handy tools and cant find what u asked me to find

on the picture what are the 4 slots to the left called.

The 4 white slots are the PCI slots, and the one to the right (normally brown) is the AGP slot.

thanks if im right the pci slots will be right down the bottem and i think they are the slots i have free thanks.

But i cant get a card for the pci slots all out of my price range, is there ne way of sharing a card over a network,( silly question which i think i no the answer to.) I'm just trying to think of anything so me and my bro can play games against each other on are network.
