hi all :-) i have just bought a geforce fx 5200 pci card, i have installed card and drivers but no luck, i have a advance 6t series mainboad witch has onboard trident video accelarator blade 3d/promedia , from what i can tell i need 2 disable on board graphics b4 new one will work .is this right and if so how do i do this.

Hi & welcome

You need to go into the BIOS to dis-able the on-board graphics. This means that you need to press a button as your PC boots up (usually it's the Delete key or F2). This will take you into the BIOS screens and from there you will be able to find the right place to turn off the on-board graphics.

Anything unclear, just ask

Ok, you need to go here first to update you BIOS: http://www.qdigrp.com/qdisite/eng/su..._advance6t.htm

If you are in any way unsure if you will be able to do this successfully then may I suggest that you find a local techie or someone you know who has the experience to do this for you. It isn't particularly hard BUT if it messes up then you could have some serious issues!!!
