I have previously used nvidia but this time I think I am going to go for an ATI.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Default Graphics cards.

I currently have the Hercules Radeon 9800pro - it RoX!

If you can stretch to c?150 you can have one of these excellent cards too... Connect3D ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB @ http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...00_Series.html

What about the Sapphire Radeon 9800 pro atlantis. Would this stand any chance of coping with the likes of Doom 3?

That graphics card will cope very nicely with Doom3 and the game that the 9800pro was invented for, Half-Life 2 !!

Default Graphics cards.

Is that the 128 card?.

I am currently overhauling my pc. I have just bought a new dvd writer (NEC 3500), and am going to buy an amd 3200 64 and a suitable motherboard in a couple of weeks. Ive already got some new kingston ram for the new board.

I was going to get an xp3200 but i decided for the extra ?50 or ?60 it would cost it would be more worthwile going 64.

If only I could afford to upgrade that damn crt monitor as well !!!
