mm i use mediaplayer classic.. it comes bundled with the ace mega codec pack and k-lite codec pack.. i use it to play anything movie related..

never heard of he vlc player till recently.. thought so if that needs no codecs to play.. i would go with that..

i use winamp to play music..

and well windows media player welll ummm i dont use that hahahaha its on the pc though
