Pending: Corrupted bios on netbook

Hi all, I have spent 2 day trying to solve this but with no luck. I went to update my BIOS from Acer website but as I was doing this my net book froze. I managed to turn it off after about 15 minutes but since then when ever I press the power button only the power light lights up and nothing else happen (screen stays blank, No booting up). I have tried some ways to make my USB stick bootable and found out on some Acer netbooks if you press FN + ESC while pressing the power button it will boot from USB. But does this work with my model? When I do try this the USB memory stick does flash for about 5 seconds then stops and nothing happens only the power light flashes. Please help me to get it working again. Is there a way I can flash my bios if I cannot get my netbook to start?
My netbook is a Acer aspire one AO751h model with vista on it. Thank you.

Sounds like a fried bios to me, why did you feel the need to update the bios Simon?

I have always keeped my drivers upto date. See there was a bios update so done that update. My VERY bad

Unless expressly recommended I would have left it alone.

As it states on the site.

Acer recommends that you should only upgrade your firmware/drivers if you have been instructed to do so by an Acer Customer Care representative.

NEVER update your bios unless you experienced a technical problem, also you should only update your bios if you feel (are) experienced enough to do so, the bios is a critical part of your system, failing the update it correctly might lock you out of your pc.
If you had a PC you were able to buy a new motherboard, so updating it on a netbook makes it even more risky.

firstly is your netbook still in warranty ?
if so then return it and let them fix it ,it may require the motherboard to be replaced which they would foot the bill for
