When I try to opem I E, it goes to the Task Bar, & will not open. This has only happend today, it was fine before.
I am usyng XP Home.

Try doing a Restore point to before it happened.

I cannot do a restore for some reason. Thats something else I am going to tackle seperateley. When i run restore i get a message srtating that windows could not restore for some reason (cannot remember full message).

Did you leave it as it takes a few minutes to get its act together does Restore?

well it completes the process restarts & then I get the message that states that my settings have not been changed. Are you saying that I should leave it for a while. I have done restores in the past and never had to wait, it used to work fine, but something happend to cause the pressent condition.

Have you recently installed any new software at all?

No nothing. I havent used for 2 days when it was last OK. Suddenly happend. I did have this prob about 2 months ago. I found that the short cut from within START/PROGS/ACCESSORIES/SYSTEM TOOLS, had got IE & NO ADDONS in brackets. When I used that SC all was OK. But this is not the case this time.
