Default iTunes library problems

Hey guys, I installed power iso the other day, which i have subsequently gotten rid of. Basically when it installed a virtual drive on my pc, it changed the letter of the drive i keep most of my music on. Once I have access to my music via itunes I will copy them all to the music folder.

I have found a solution to the problem, namely opening the library xml file and find-replacing all the J:/s with L:/s. but after I've saved it and reopened iTunes, it just immediately reverts to the previous Drive, meaning I'd have to it again.

any ideas guys? this is itunes 9.0.0.70 btw

You can change the drive letter back to J:. Go to control panel=>administrative tools=>computer management=>click on disk management and go to the bottom right hand pane and right click on the now L: drive and click on change drive letter and paths and change the drive letter back to J:.

If you do not have the skills for doing this, try the longer way of sorting it.

The other way you can do it is to delete all the of the files folders from the library.

Press Crtl A to highlight all of them, then right mouse click and select Delete then Remove (This does not remove any files or folders).

Then scan the correct drive for your music files / folders...
