hello , recently i have bought a new pc but i have started to find some wierd things that happen while using windows xp pro
first thing , i used to be able to view the type of cpu and its speed when clicking properties in my computer , now it have dissapeared and only amount of ram appears
[IMG]C:\Documents and Settings\jordan\My Documents\My Pictures\pc1[/IMG]
secound problem which annoys me that when starting my computer and after windows loading , a box appears and ask me for a password (which i havent set) i click on ok without entering password and i enter the windows , why does that happen when i have never set a password or another account?
when i click on shutdown or log out , the theme for thier box have changed , log out box now have only log off and shut down now have an old style box with tab to pick option from... images can explain but i dont know how to put them ... can anyone help me?

Press PrtScrn (Print Screen) on the image then go into Paint and press Ctrl +V
Save the image as .jpeg or .png then use Manage Attachments further down below the reply box to upload the picture to PCHF.

This scenario reminds me of an old 98 setup style and I'm sure it's something to do with the theme but it's been a while since I had XP.
I'll look into it unless someone can come up with an answer first.

hello
in xp go to your control panel >select user accounts >then click on change the way users log on or off > tick the boxes in "use the welcome screen" and "fast user switching" , then click on apply options re the computer spec being seen ,ill have a look into that |
