Still no crashes in this new account so far, which is great.

I'll go back onto my other normal account and disable the VLC thing and see how it goes. If it is something to do with that account, what do I do?

Well you could leave it as it is I suppose but to change it go into Tools, Option, Applications and highlight the app and hit the drop down and choose Other if WMP is not shown.

I forgot to mention - when setting up the TEST account I noticed there was this other account on there I had never seen on start up:-

ASP.NET Machine A......

Doesn't come up on start up as I said and I'm not sure what it is or where it came from?

Also my AVG just told me it had to close again....

...and just now under the TEST account Firefox just crashed for the first time.

...and another thing, I started to get fed up with the crashes in FF so used Opera instead.

Guess what - yep, it crashed too.

We have complete system crashes now too - I have had maybe 7 since my last post in here so the system has become increasingly unstable.

Any advice on this please?

System crashed 2-3 times today, Firefox crashed more times than I can remember and AVG had shut down again this morning when I first looked at the PC.

I am also losing hair because of this, and at my age they will not re-grow.

LAtest occurrance is a window with the following:-

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

If you guys aren't sure what to do, can I ask that you let me know so I can then ask elsewhere.

Cheers.
