I've just installed Windows Vista onto my computer. The installation has gone perfectly except for one thing, my desktop sometimes goes hazy.

It usually happens if the computer has been left alone for a while and, if you right click on the background, it goes back to normal. It also takes the -, minimise screen and X off any open windows, which can't be undone without a log off or restart.

Have any of you guys come across this before? All my drivers are up to date, i have norton anti-virus which i regularly scan with & my system is more than capable of running Vista (4.2 rating).

Any advice would be welcome.

Hello Zip,you say you have all your drivers updated. Does this include your graphics card? What resolution do you have your screen at. I am running Vista with a flat screen and had no problems,after i had all current updates from Microsoft...

My resolution is set to 1280 by 1024.

I have Driver Genius Professional and it says all my drivers are up to date. This also includes my graphics card drivers.

...so all of the windows that you have open also go, what..out of focus?

Do you have any third party "jazz up your desktop" utilities installed Zip?

They don't go out of focus, the background looks etchy, if you know what i mean.

And on the windows the buttons disappear.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'jazzy'?

Any ideas?
