Hi
I'm using WinRAR 3.90 (Evaluation Version) to compress my files but it doesn't seem to be working that well.
I compressed a folder which is 788MB in size after compression the ZIP or RAR file is 777MB, not much of a saving. A mate of mine tried his and he saved at least half. All the preferences are set the same, any ideas why my files/folders aren't compressing by much

Consider 7 Zip Paul, it's far better.
Look at the file compression ratio's mentioned further down the page. 7-Zip

I have already tried 7-Zip with the same result
I don't understand why my mate saves at least half the folder size and I don't when all the settings are the same |

If you compress it using 7zip it's self then you should see significant results.

So if I use 7-Zip and compress as 7z I should noticed a big difference?
