Default Java Problem

I cannot get java to run properly. I have the newest version installed, and I have removed all the old ones, but every time I try to do something with it I get an error. Any ideas what to do?

I am using Windows XP Sp3, and when I try to open something that uses java it just shows a white box that says "Error. Click for details." and when I click for details it opens up the java console and lists a bunch of information.

Hello Dr.

The errors that you are getting can be due to a great many things..

The questions I posed earlier can help us greatly...thank you for the OS and that you have the latest of Java.

There are times where that isn't the greatest thing to have, 'specially on XP.

Please let us know which errors you are getting.

Can you take a screenshot of the errors?
