Trying to sort out a pc that after an update wont login yo live messenger.

The login icon just kept spinning but nothing else, i looked in control panel to remove and re-install but it wasnt there. I've tried loads of fixes via google search but none have worked, i finally managed to "apparantly" remove it and downloaded and installed the newest version from microsoft.

Now i get the error 80040154, i've followed the live messenger fixes but still cant get it to login.

I have also tried using a different login account and also i CAN login on a different pc so i know the user id and pass are correct.

Judging by the number of results on google this is a big problem but can anyone here help me please?

What OS are you using?
Cause: MSXML library may be corrupted

Could you add your system specs to your profile, do this be clicking on "User CP" and then Edit Options under the Settings and Options tab. This will help the Techs to assist you better, both now and in the future.

Tried that, didnt work :-(

Ian, my system spec wont help in this instance as it isnt my pc.

However the specific machine is HP Pavillion Slimline S3240.uk, AMD Athlon x2 Dual Core 4400+, 2gb ram, 32bit Operating System Vista Home Premium.
