Files from Computer to phone?
I have a Sony Ericsson Z610i and I can transfer music, photo's and video from my phone to my PC with no problem whatsoever. But if I try it vice-versa I get a message telling me it's an incorrect file format. How can this be? And if it is, is there a conversion program to convert them to an acceptable format for my phone?

Hello Stevepa!!Welcome back to the forum.
You need to convert the video files into 3gp format before playing into your mobile.I personally use bywifi which is a video accelerator embedded with media transcoder.Please click the below link to download it. Download link

Hi Ankur.
Thanks for that, much appreciated. I didn't realise the file extension 3gp, I,ve already got that option in a converter I currently use called prism file converter so I'll give it a try. Does it work for music file as well or is that mp3? Kindest regards. Steve. |

Consider this image from the You Tube converter, now ok this just for YT, I stand corrected if wrong, but you can see the possibilities to convert to any X file, pointed out, as Ankur quite rightly stated, is the mobile option, further down is the MP3 option to strip the track off the video hence saving memory on the phone.
