Question Amount Of Files On Drive(s)

Hi people. My question is rather simple. I know there is a basic tool that can do this for you. How do I tell how many files I have on one or two drives?? I just want to know the amount of files on my two drives. I have drive “C” and drive “D”. Thank You

Hi ilyabyk

Right clicking on the drive in My Computer and selecting Properties will tell you the amount of space used, You can do this for both drives snd simply add the two together

You have folders and files. and obviously files inside folders. Then there are compressed files that appear a one file, but are not, for counting purposes.

Some files are HIDDEN. Do you have a Linux partition? We will not go there...

You need a CPA

My guess is, you have another reason or goal for a file count, is something missing, not working?
If your just curious, that's cool too.

Go to RUN-type CMD
chkdsk

let it run to the end, its a read only mode result.
you will see your total file count.
Enjoy.

Tree Size will tell you how much space is being used on a harddrive, and how many files it contains.

Here's the link to the free version...
