Default Cannot access partition

I've done a fresh install of XP SP3, on a completely new, blank hardrive.

During the installation I set up a partition for my Windows installation, but now when I open Windows, I can only access that partition, and I can't access the other majority of my hard drive.

I am limited to a total of 14 GB.

The other partition does not show up as a drive letter.

How can I access it the rest of my hard drive please?

Hi

That's because XP cannot see disks larger than 131GB.

Do Run>compmgmt.msc>Disk Management and either format the unformatted space there, or split it and format the partitions.

Then you will be able to access the rest of your drive.

Thought it's true you'll have to format the unused portion of your HDD, XP SP1 solved the ~127 - 131GB disk size limit years ago. If you install SP1 and subsequent SP's you can access all of just about any size drive as one partition.
