Exclamation Cannot Uninstall Program: HELP

Hi guys, I recently installed Nero, not sure which one the DVD one I think

Anyway, half-way through installing my computer crashed, once I re-booted it SEEMED to be installed, By the by I now want it gone but i cannot

I have tried uninstalling both through the traditional method of

Control Panel > Uninstall a program

And through a computer clean up program called AusLogics BoostSpeed

Both do the same thing, bring up a small box with no text in it, and just do nothing.

So i have no way of getting it off my computer, and it is actively effecting all my media files given the nature of the software so its kind of a big deal

I tried the usual re-boot stuff, and even tried a few days later, I also wiped all files and applications associated with the software and yet it still remains, any suggestions on how to remove it?

Thanks!

Ali.

Hello Ali, Welcome to PCHF!

We have a great team here and I am sure we will be able to answer any questions you may have

Try using Advanced Uninstaller this has a function to do a forced removal of programs.

Install and click on uninstall programs, if you see Nero select it and then click forced removal.

Have you also tried a fresh installation of Nero? Sometimes if an installation failed, trying to reinstall it can give you the option to remove/repair it.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Smokeycheech

as an addition to the instructions above ,
if it wont repair /remove , then do a complete install again as it will overwrite all the files left on your system. and then do a complete removal and that should sort it out , but try the removal/repair first

Hi

Why don't you use the Nero clean tool from the makers of Nero?

They made the software, they should know a thing or two on how to remove it..
