Hi, i hope this is the correct section ?
I use Outlook Express for all my Email activity, i also have OE set up to recieve all my Hotmail emails and generally everything works fine.
Except of course one thing that is beginning to annoy me, such as :-
somebody sends me an Email with another email attached, if i click on the attatched email as if to open it, i have to wait a few minutes while Windows Live Mail is started up, i can then of course view the email with Windows Live Mail.
I cannot figure out how to change TO "open attatched emails with OE" does anybody here know the answer, please. nothing too complicated please, LOL.
tim

Cheers buddy, but you are going to swear at me !!!, i was barking up the wrong tree right from the very beginning !!!.
I have now figured out it was to do with File Associations, somehow or other it looks as if the .EML file extension got associated with Windows Live Mail probably when i installed it !. I didnt realise this could be the problem until i had UN-INSTALLED Windows Live Mail !!! as .EML then became an unknown file type !!!! Thanks for going to all that trouble to put me on the right track, i feel i owe you summat now ! tim |
