all of a sudden whenever i click to play a video file with either windows media player or real player it opens up fine but i have a blank screen. the audio plays but i have no picture.

it seems to only be windows based files because i tried to play a quicktime video and it played just fine.

Have you downloaded a codec pack, such as K-Lite or All-in-one? Sounds like your movie file is looking for a codec that simply isn't installed.
