Default Programs opening different software

Hi,

I recently re-installed my Adobe Photoshop but something happened the last time I tried to install it and now when I install it the other files in my system show up as being photoshop files and it means I cannot open up some software. I can't remember what happened last time.

If someone could help me that would be great. I know I haven't provided much information but I don't know what you would need to know to help so just ask and I can provide that information for you.

Thanks, in advance, for any help anyone can give me.

Hi there and welcome to PC Help Forum

It sounds as though, since you removed Photoshop, your file associations are still pointing towards the removed program.

You need to re-associate those filetypes with the correct program. Which filetypes are we talking about here? .JPG, .GIF, .PNG?

What physically happens when you run these files? Do you receive a specific error message?
