Hai Guys,
My PC stutters during video playback. It happens in both VLC and WMP so I don't think it's the player that's the problem. It's been happening for a while (longer than I remember) and usually I'd just restart and it'd stop for a bit. But now even restarting doesn't help. It doesn't happen all the time, though. Sometimes I can watch a whole movie with no stuttering and then 2 minutes into House it starts (House is just an example).
Think anyone here can diagnose the problem?
P.S. The other thread I just made is somehow broken. I can't get into it so I made another one.

Hi Bikkit,
What do you mean video playback? Do mean streaming media, videos you have on your pc or discs? Have you tried updating all your codecs - onemay be corrupt and causing the problem. Try downloading K-Lite Mega codec pack from the link below and see if that helps. I still get stutters. Tried both klite and CCC.

What format are the files in? are they ligal

They are all .avi
File type doesn't denote the legitimacy of the file.
