hi guys can you help me with this one please. i have been trying out a program called tuneup utilities 2009 but decided ti unistall it but part of the progame i have been trouble trying to get rid off. it seems to have left psrt of itself in the windows system 32 folder it is called tuneup.evt it is located in c:\windows\system32\config\tuneup.evt i have everything even tried a program called unlocker which did delete it but it came back when i restarted. please help nigel.

Hi, this is an Event Log. you should just be able to go to system 32, right click and delate, are you sure Tune-ups all gone?

hi i used a program i have called jv16 power tools which has a very good reg cleaner anyway i searched for the file but had to delete keys very carefully but i have removed the file. system is running very good do you think i have solved the problem, should i do what you typed or will my system be ok.
the entries i have left are as follows HKLM\system\currentcontrolsetset\control\nls\muila nguages\rc2\tuneup.exe\ HKLM\system\controlset003\control\nls\muilanguages \rcv2\tuneup.exe\ HKLM\system\controlset001\control\nls\muilanguages \rc2\tuneup.exe\ HKCU\software\microsoft\office\12.0\common\languag eresources\ should i delete any of these entries. |

Yeah, remove all of them but the bottom one, theres still parts on the PC.

hi do i still need to deal with the event log or would deleteing those files do the job
