Perhaps you could put that query to programmer capable friends?
I just have a bad comprehension issue. LOL I will give it a try. When I do make this file, where do I place it?? In the folder with all of the pictures??

I would place it in the same folder as the pictures so you don't run as high a risk of randomizing *everything* on your system.

But this would also be a good question for whoever ends up creating the code for you.

There is got to be another way of getting this done. All I want is to randomize the order it is in now. Not 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th, but 1st, 6th, 3rd, 5th, 2nd. And so on. This very simple. All I want is to randomize the order the files are in, in that folder. This is simple. No BATCH files or anything. There is go to be a program that will mix them up (randomizes the order).

Ilya,

Didn't Crush provide a "canned" solution for you that would randomize the pictures? I recall that you weren't fond of his solution even though it met the randomizing criteria.

a quick search turns up the following:

Animated photo slideshow screensaver: Random Photo Screensaver - Donationware with free 30 day trail

Random Photo Screensaver 2.5 Free Download - Use your own digital photos as a screensaver

I believe that both of the above links take you to the same software.

ilya, as I have already mentioned, it looks almost certain that you won't find a solution to randomize the pictures "more" on the default Windows Screensaver. I think you are going to have to use a new screensaver, such as the ones DCi has posted links to.

DCiAdmin agrees: Thank for confirming, Uppy!

Thank You. I want to do what I was told. But I don't quite understand the instructions. Should I paste this code given in to a *.TXT file and place this file in the folder, than point the screen saver to use that folder?? What name and format, do I save this file in? Can I please get detailed instructions how to (or if I do need to do that) make that *.txt file. But again, how often will it change the picture on my screen? How much random will they be?
Would you mind sharing the instructions again? Just so I be clear.
THANK YOU
