I have just located a source for file renaming tools. I cannot recommend or defend the safety & security of any files that you download from the below URL. I have no experience with the below site.
FREE File Renaming Tools - Freeware and here is instruction for how to create a batch file so you can use the code in my earlier post How to Write a Batch File: 12 steps - wikiHow Best of luck to you as you are now the dealer!

The fact is we don't know how the Windows Photo screensaver grabs files and shuffles them. Edit: The Photos screensaver is the dealer, and as we don't have access to the coding behind that we won't be able to edit the way in which it shuffles them. It looks like you might need a new 'dealer', as suggested earlier. |

I have a folder. This folder contains 6435 pictures. The way I got so many, is by collecting different amounts of pictures, and placing them in one folder. Meaning - I downloaded 25 pictures of exotic cars - placed it into a folder "Screensaver", later on I found a download of 145 pictures of different flags of different countries, placed it in the same "Screensaver" folder, later on, I found 50 pictures of boats, and once again I placed it in to same folder as all of the others. Now I have the 25 of exotic car showing first then it shows 145 flags and then the 50 pictures of boats. Here is what I want to do: I don't want it to show first 25 and then in order of the 25 and then go in order 145 flags. But I want for it to SHUFFLE all. Not show them in the order they are in that folder, but I want it to make some "Shuffle, Mix" them in that folder. Does any of this make any sense?? |

Do you have the shuffle contents box ticked in the Options for the Photos screen saver?

YES YES. I'm just not happy with the shuffling that Windows does. I want to shuffle them myself + have that option.
