It looks like you will have to use an alternative screensaver, like Crush suggested.
Hi. Thank You for help. Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE forget "Screensaver" part??? Look all I ask for, is what app, can shuffle pictures in a folder?? All I need is an app to shuffle them. I'll taker care of the rest. My initial question says: "My problem is, I want to find an application that will shuffle them very good in that folder."
Please help me with just this kind of an app. Don't worry what I'm going to do with that "shuffled" folder afterwards. All I'm looking for, is how to shuffle/mix them up!! Thank You

I'm sorry I don't understand how you can "shuffle" pictures in a folder, sure you can change the order you view them in Windows Explorer with Sorting etc but as far as I'm aware that will have no effect for other applications.

Ilya,

Perhaps this might work for you....

This can be done using a batch file to generate random numbers:-

Quote:
@echo off
echo.|time|find "Current" >cu##ent.bat
echo set time=%%3> current.bat
call cu##ent.bat
del cu??ent.bat > nul
echo = | choice /c=%time%= temp2.bat > temp1.bat
echo shift>temp2.bat
echo shift>>temp2.bat
echo set RANDOM=%%9>>temp2.bat
call temp1.bat
del temp?.bat > nul
Then use a batch file to rename the files randomly .

Perhaps combining the two will do it, if you're not worried about the files keeping their original names.

I am not a coder and cannot provide further info on the above. I stumbled across this information while researching your question. The above was recommended to someone to randomize their song files.

Word "shuffle" is in a dictionary. I want to EXACTLY what the word means.
Had you ever played cards before? Whoever deals the cards, shuffles them first, only then he deals them. He does it, so they won't be in the same order as they were just played. I want to do exactly the same thing. Only with pictures in this event. I have a lot of pictures, and I want tp shuffle them. Does this explain to you anything??

Ilya,

I believe that you are counting on the folder to do something that is the responsibility of whatever program you use to view these pictures. Folders are storage only - more like the card box than the dealer. Your viewing program is the dealer responsible for performing the shuffle.

Does this make sense?

As I stated above, I am not a coder. This is information that I found while researching your question. This was the whole thread, there was no further information.

I'm sorry not to be able to take you further with this.
