I am in a bit of a dilema. I have a triple boot operating system setup on my desktop at home and want to remove one of the o/s's. The last time I tried this on a dual boot o/s the computer wouldn't boot after I deleted the vista partition (I am guessing since it was the last o/s I installed?), and had to completely reinstall windows.
Here is my setup. Intially I had XP and Vista 32 bit dual booting on the same hard drive (500 GB drive). I run certain games off of both os's (for instance Fallout 3 will only run in Vista for whatever reason, and Empire Total war freezes if I don't run it in xp). I have an additional 1 TB drive I use for storage.
When Windows 7 came out I shrunk my C drive parition and created a new one for 7 using Vista's partition program. I like 7 and all, but I still get crashes on certain games that crash in vista so for now I am going back to my old setup as I want that additional HDD space back.
Inside of Vista the partition for 7 is drive d, so I am hoping I can remerge that space after deleting 7. My question is how do I delete 7 without messing up my MBR and just go back to having 2 o/s's?

Glad you managed to get fixed.
EasyBCD is really good, it makes it really easy to switch bootloaders when you want to uninstall an operating system from dual boot. Will mark as resolved.
