When i bought pc for the 1st time..I dont know many things about it...I only know to use internet before...
That service guy installed some softwares in my pc...from a cd he had...
That time i didnt noticed how he had those softwares in his cd..
Once i had a setup file in my email of a small software...That setup file didnt worked...when i downloaded from my email and used..So if we burn the setup file in data cd,will it work always ?
My question is...to burn a software..we must burn only the setup file or the entire software ?

Hi davesam,
You might need to explain this question a bit more. Software comes in many different forms: exe setup files, msi installation files, disc ISOs. Most software downloads can be downloaded and installed without burning to CD. Basically, it depends on the specific piece of software you are trying to install/download. |

I mean, the installation file or the setup file which helps to install a software........
For example....... If i want to burn a video converter software......I must burn the installation file alone of that software or i must burn the full installed software ...that is along with its dll files and some other with it? |

Davesam,
In order to burn a CD of a program, you must have the complete program. You cannot copy/cd burn an installed program and expect that to work. As upgrader said, software copies can come in many different formats - ISO's which create a full copy of an original CD, exe setup files, etc. If the setup program that you received via e-mail did not work, writing that same program to CD / DVD will not "fix" the install. There must have been a problem with the software that you received.
