I'm wanting a link or database or some such that has information & descriptions on files & programs, so I can work out what's on my computer & why, so I can get rid of what I don't need or what shouldn't be there.

Ccleaner doesn't give descriptions of what programs I have. That is what I need so I know which programs & files I can get rid of. Anyone?? I'm sure I've come across something in the past that did it, but can't find anything now.

Hello loosie,ok try this Advance System Care by Iobit or you can google for a dupilcate file cleaner,thse are just a few out there,and a lot are free. ASC does show files and names if i remember correctly,just be careful in what you delete...............
