I've recently started to have problems Windows Live Mail. It won't retrieve my e-mails any more from Yahoo, Google and Live. I've tried Mozilla Thunderbird and Incredimail and the same problem. It is all set up correctly as I've been using Windows Live Mail for quite a while now.
I've also recently installed VistaMizer which makes you desktop, start menu etc. look like Vista. Could this be the problem? I wouldn't have thought so as it's only suppose to change the look of your system.
Any ideas why my E-mail clients have suddenly stopped working?

Hi PaulB
I take it you can use the web based email service to view your email?

Ok, thanks for that.
Do you receive a specific error message when downloading/checking the mail on those installed clients?

I think I may have found the problem. I've recently started using Windows Firewall. I've just run Comodo Firewall and allowed Internet Access to Windows Live Mail and it worked fine.
How can I set up Windows Firewall to allow Internet Access to Windows Live Mail? I've tried adding it as an exception but that didn't work |

Try turning it off completely first - that way you will confirm your suspicions.
Then, if it IS Windows firewall, take a look at this guide - unfortunately we don't have a Tutorial on this subject yet.. 3 Methods to Enable Program Exceptions in Windows Firewall
