you're absolutely right the same thing is found here : DirectX Help

now, I have to wait for at least two weeks to see if my LCD flat panel monitor will not flicker any more.

As I said in your previous thread here. The default native screen resolution for that monitor is 1280 x 1024 so it should not flicker if you have set it to this...

when I first plugged my monitor the screen resolution was 1024*768. but when you advised me to set it to the default resolution 1280 x 1024, I set it and it stopped flickering, but now the opposite happens, when it flickers, I have to reset it to 1024*768 to stop flickering. I can't figure it out ?????

please help to solve this problem.

That depends entirely on how you intend to use your computer. I have a relatively old graphics card as I'm not interested much in using it for games nor any other graphics intensive tasks. If you feel you're not getting the most out of it for your needs, then you should most definitely consider whether it's time for an upgrade.
