Every time I start my computer I get an error from Daemon Tools Lite saying it can't boot up. I tried uninstalling it, but it won't uninstall. I can't even find it in Control Panel > add/remove hardware, and whenever I try to reinstall it, I get an error message that just says "1" at the top and that there's some sort of internal error called "256". Any help would be appreciated because this is incredibly annoying.

Sounds to me like you have a bit of a bug running around in there..

Let's get rid of it.

Since you can't find an uninstaller for it, try running CCleaner from the link in my signature. That might get some of it to where you can get things running well enough.

Once that is done, come back and use the Prework link, also in my signature and run those programs.. be sure to update Malware Bytes and run a full scan.. not the quick one..

Post the resulting logs back here and just as soon as we see them, we'll get this right over to our great Security Team..

They will be sure to get you all fixed all up!!

hmmmmm well it deleted 12 different malware issues... varying from spyware to trojans. i'm gonna try reinstalling daemon tools to see if it works. i appreciate the help! thank you!
