Cool Technical Difficulties......

Hi not sure if you can help me but, I have a video file (Jimi Hendrix-Band of Gypsys Documentary). Can watch it fine on comp tried to burn it and the burn is successful but not able to watch. I downloaded the file at least 3 times cuz I thought it was a bad file. I'm wonderin if it has a protection restriction preventing me from burning it eventho the burn as I said is successful the disc will not play in comp or dvd player. If so how could I burn it? I was told to use a120 but I don't have the slightest idea how to use that. If I could get some help on how to burn the file and what to use would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to waste all kinds of discs. Also I have converted it more than once from it's original format .avi to dvd still same result. I'm not new to burning but I've never used a120 or even another software I've recently heard of Daemon Tools. Hmmmm what to do? Please help. Sik

Has the file any drm on it, if you have downloaded it from iTunes it might not be convertible to dvd format.

Can you please use the default colour text, as the blue text is hard to read...

The file did not have a drm and was not downloaded from itunes. I was able to convert the file with no problem from .avi to dvd and was able to watch either version on comp just fine. When I burned the file as .avi or dvd the burn was successful but was not able to watch the burned disc on comp or dvd player. It's not the discs, everything else I burned has worked fine. Using Memorex DVD-R. Also I'm using more than 1 burning sofware got the same result with each for that same same file. Somebody had told me to use a120 but I never used that b4 never needed to so I have no idea how to use it. Oh ty for the tip I didn't know not to use colored text. - sik

Hi sikdmented,
Check that your burning software is set to "Finalise" the disc so that no further writing is possible. this will be an option within the programs Burn Options.
The disc has to be finalised to work.

Cool Re: Technical Difficulties......

Hi and what's up peoples? Ty for tip Driver_Ian I've made sure all my burning software is set properly and double checked them. I wound up downloading another file I'm going to burn them both and see what happens. I have a hunch about something, hopefully this works. I know I'm not the only Hendrix fan in here. Maybe somebody can download the same file and let me know if they have the same problem and what they did to fix it. File name is " Band of Gypsys" it's a documentary on the group formed after the first Jimi Hendrix Experience when Noel Redding left. Shortly after Mitch Mitchell left they were replaced by Billy Cox and Buddy Miles. After the documentary goes right into the concert at the Filmore East. - sik
