Hello, i burnt a disc last night, and when i play it on my pc (using windows Media Player) the colour is purple. It works fine on Power DVD. I tried playing a disc that i burnt a year ago, its the same problem.

Iv got the file on my pc, it works fine when i play it from my pc, but when i try playing it from the DVD it is just purple.

I tried reinstalling the Codec, still didnt work.

Can someone help me please.

Hi samir, this does seem like a codec issue.

I would recommend installing the K-Lite Codec Pack which will install lots of different codecs and should hopefully fix your issue.

Thanks for your reply, I have jus installed that software, but still it does not work.

By the way, that software is corrupted from that website, i downloaded it from another website.

In your first post you mentioned reinstalling the codec, which codec was this?

I re installed the xvid one, because i did some googleing and one couple of websites it said the xvid codec.

I did a system restore and its all working now, but i wonder how long for.
