Hello I had converted a 16MB Mpeg 4 video file to avi, then it became about 40MB.But when I reconvert it to Mpeg 4, it becomes 25MB.I used 3 programs but the same.Why? |

Hi, and welcome to the PCHelpForum.
Since you're posting a question, I'll edit your thread and mark it as [Question]. The reason why this is happening is due to the compression method being used. By default the .AVI compressions take up much space to still ensure quality. The Mpeg files also has compression using the same technique as in jpegs. You should know, that if you have a file that is already of low quality, converting it to another file will not suddenly make it of good quality. In fact, since a different compression method is used, it will actually reduce quality even more. The answer to the filesize changing is merelly the opions you can set for the compression.

The Mpeg 4 file is H 264 Mpeg 4 Avc.Should I use H 264 Mpeg 4 Avc converter or codec?
