i burnt it to a disk, but was unable to get it to run at start up. my intention was to reinstall windows using this copy of xp i received. what am i not doing right to get this disk to run at start up? and use it to reinstall windows???

making a start up disk?
i have a software from a site (bittorrent)and i now have a copy of windows xp with sp3.
i burnt it to a disk, but was unable to get it to run at start up. my intention was to reinstall windows using this copy of xp i received. what am i not doing right to get this disk to run at start up? and use it to reinstall windows???
